He is currently Deputy Chairman of the Investment Banking Committee at Société Générale in Paris. He was Chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley Italy and Switzerland and Vice Chairman of Morgan Stanley Group Europe. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 1986, he spent eight years with Citibank in London. He graduated from Padua and Cambridge, and specialised in Economics at Harvard.
